UPDATE: Due to the approaching hurricane, the Criminal Records Office will remain open until 4:00pm today, Friday, 17 August, to facilitate persons needing Police Certificates in order to obtain waivers. The department will also be open on Saturday, 18 August from 8.30am until 3.30pm. Sunday opening will be announced soon. The public is advised to collect their Police Certificates as soon as possible if they are needed in order to obtain a waiver. Original release: Acting Chief Secretary Franz Manderson reports that due to the threat of Hurricane Dean, the Immigration public counter, the Passport Office and the Police Records Department, have all extended their opening hours. This will facilitate persons seeking to obtain passports, passport endorsements and waivers to enter the United States at this time. Opening hours for the Passport Office have been extended by one hour today, from 3:00 pm to 4:00pm, while the Police Records Office will remain open until 5:00pm. With respect to tomorrow, Saturday 18, August 2007, Immigration's Public Counter will be open from 9:00am to 12:00pm; the Police Records Office hours will be 8:30am to 2:00pm, and the Passport Office will open from 10:00am to 2:00pm for waiver requests.
