The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida has issued advisories on Hurricane Tomas, which at 10 a.m. was located near 14.0 N 63.7 W or about 180 miles W of St. Lucia or 345 miles SSE of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tomas is currently moving towards the west-northwest near 9 mph with max sustained winds near 90 mph.

This storm poses no immediate threat to the Cayman Islands; however, all interests within the Cayman Islands should continue to monitor the progress of this storm as current forecast track places hurricane Tomas to the S of Haiti and ESE of Jamaica by Thursday night.
