The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida has issued advisories on Hurricane Tomas, which at 4 p.m. was located near 13.5 N 61.4 W or about 35 miles SW of St. Lucia or 20 miles NW of St. Vincent. Tomas is currently moving towards the west-northwest near 10 mph with max sustained winds near 75 mph.

This storm poses no immediate threat to the Cayman Islands; however, all interests within the Cayman Islands should continue to monitor the progress of this storm as the current forecast track places Hurricane Tomas to the S of Haiti and ESE of Jamaica by Thursday morning.
