The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida issued an advisory on Tropical Storm Tomas, which at 4 p.m. was located near 16.6 N 76.0 W or about 110 miles south-southeast of Kingston Jamaica. Tomas is currently moving towards the north near 5 mph with maximum sustained winds near 50 mph.

THIS STORM POSES NO IMMEDIATE THREAT TO THE CAYMAN ISLANDS. However, all interests within the Cayman Islands should continue to monitor the progress of this storm as the current forecast track continues to move Tomas on a northerly track with a northeastward turn expected tonight.
