The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida, is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Isaac. At 1 p.m. Tropical Storm Isaac was located near 16.8 N. 71.4 W. or about 135 miles south southeast of Port au Prince Haiti. Isaac is moving towards the northwest at 14 mph with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. Minimum central pressure is 997 MB. Storm force winds extend outwards up to 185 miles. Strengthening is forecast.

Tropical Storm Isaac does not pose an imminent threat to the Cayman Islands.

Showers and cloudiness is expected over the Cayman area from late this evening as the outer bands of Tropical Storm Isaac moves into the Northwest Caribbean.

THE FORECAST:

Partly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of showers and possible thunder.

Winds will be east to northeast 15 to 20 knots.

Seas will be rough with wave heights of 4 to 6 feet.

Tonight:

Winds will be east to northeast 15 to 20 knots.

Seas will be rough with wave heights of 4 to 6 feet.

Cloudy skies with a 40% chance of showers and some thunder.Small craft should exercise caution over open waters.

Small craft should exercise caution over open waters.

Some showers may be locally heavy at time and may lead to flooding of low-lying area.
