Tropical Storm Isaac Advisory

The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida, is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Isaac. At 7 a.m. Tropical Storm Isaac was located near 19.7 N. 73.8 W. or about 95 miles east southeast of Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Isaac is moving towards the northwest at 14 mph with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. Minimum central pressure is 998 MB. Storm force winds extend outwards up to 230 miles.
A tropical storm WATCH is in effect for the Cayman Islands. Residents should be on the alert for rain, possible flooding in low lying areas, and gusty winds. Seas will be rough with wave heights of 4 to 6 feet and a small craft advisory is in effect.
Cayman Brac and Little Cayman can expect 3-4” of rain between 7:00 a.m. Saturday and 7:00 a.m. Sunday. Grand Cayman during the same time period will get approximately 0.5” of rain.
