Search and Rescue

Persons who may be trapped during a disaster and are able to access cell phones should call 911 or the EOC at 949-6555 or 946-3333 to initiate rescue efforts.

Rescue teams from the following agencies undertake tasks assigned by the committees responsible for search and rescue:

• From government
  • Police and Fire services
  • Public Works Department
  • Department of Vehicle and Equipment Services (DVES)
  • Mosquito Research & Control Unit (MRCU)
  • Health Services
• From the private sector
  • Heavy Equipment Operators Association (HEVO)
  • Red Cross
